I’m overwhelmed by the amount of support that I have received from family and friends and from those I didn’t even know very well but once they heard about my trip they wanted to be a part of it with me! God over and over again has humbled me and proven himself faithful. As I head off to training camp I have a little over $3,800 left to raise before I am fully funded! I have a few partners who are giving monthly, so I will continue to receive their support while I am on the Race until November when the full amount is due. To give you another opportunity to be a part of this ministry with me, I am doing one last fundraiser. This fundraiser will be a 2-in-1 giving opportunity for you to be a part of.
The Giving Back Baskets. These baskets are hand made by Tarahumara Indians who live in the Copper Canyon in Mexico. Th women sell these baskets, as well as other hand made items, for a living. Missionaries, Josh and Candice Rose, serve and minister alongside the Tarahumara Indians. The Rose’s regularly purchase these baskets to help support the women. Josh and Candice have a huge heart for these people and have shown me from their personal examples how to live selflessly and sacrificially for the sake of Christ and for others to see Christ in them. I’m excited for the opportunity this fundraiser provides to not only continue raising support for my Race but also to come alongside other missionaries and give towards their ministry. When you buy a basket you are giving support to both my World Race mission trip and also giving back to the Roses and their ministry in Mexico. Five dollars of each basket will be sent to the Roses to use in their ministry. There are 17 baskets and to keep things simple, each basket is $20.
These baskets make great storage containers, toy organizers, decor (a great way to remind you to pray for the nations by setting it somewhere you see everyday), gift baskets, etc.*
