3 days until I’ll be in Gainesville, Georgia meeting my squad and spending 10 days in intense training and preparing to live on the mission field for 11 months. There will be daily physical challenges, emotional challenges, and spiritual challenges that my squad and I will have to work through. Uncomfortable situations and unpleasant food that always make for excellent team bonding moments. I’m really excited to finally meet my squad and begin ministry with them. While I feel fairly prepared gear wise, I feel almost completely spiritually and mentally unprepared. The past few weeks have been so crazy and then the past few days with my grandma’s declining health have made it difficult to spend the time I wanted preparing. But maybe it’s God’s grace cause He knows if I did have more time on my hands, I would just spend it getting more nervous and anxious.

Specific ways that you can be praying for me while I’m in training camp:

  • Physical health and strength (especially for the required 2.2 hike we have to complete in a certain amount of time)
  • Wisdom
  • Strong relationships with my squad
  • Spiritual discernment and growth
  • Humility
  • An easy going spirit
  • My specific role in my squad to be made clear
  • Intentionality in what I say and how I spend my time
  • Focus on deepening my relationship with God and a growing burden to see people from every nation, tribe and tongue come to faith in Jesus

Quick fundraising update. I have $4,200 left to raise before I am fully funded. I’m overwhelmed by the generosity and the love of so many who have given to support my mission. Thankful for the many senders so that I can be a goer. God’s family is amazing! I will be doing one last fundraiser when I get back from training camp so be on the look out. More details to come soon.

God is good!
