There’s 12 more days in 2018! What a year it has been and I can’t wait for all that the Lord has planned for 2019. I wanted to give a quick update on my World Race. Recently we got a notification that if more people don’t sign up on our route we will have to join another route. There are only 11 of us committed to my route so please pray that if it’s God will for this route to launch more racers would sign up before the cut off date at the first of March. They have also changed a few of the countries on our route which I’m excited about and the countries in our route could potentially keep changing before we launch in August. A quick financial update. I am so grateful for everyone who has already given to support me on my World Race. Thus far a total of $1,725 has been given towards my trip. I thank God for each individual who has sacrificially given towards my trip and pray the Lord will bless you in a special way as you have blessed me. My goal before the end of the year is to be funded $2,000. If you would like to play a part in helping me meet this goal, go to my blog page and hit the orange “Donate!” button. There are multiple ways that you can give for your convenience. It does take about 7-10 for donations to process so I’ll give a financial update around the second or third week of January. I’m so excited to start taking the next steps of preparing for the Race. Gathering all my gear, getting my immunizations, communicating with my fellow Race members, preparing myself physically, etc. One thing specifically that I’m really looking forward to and is a huge answer to pray is a 16 week Perspectives Course that I will be taking starting mid January. Perspectives is an overview of God’s heart for all people. I believe this will be a great way to help prepare me spiritually by allowing God to challenge and solidify my beliefs and change the way I both see and treat people.
